Yui Sakagoshi is a Japanese saxophonist and performer based between France and Japan.
After completing a Master's degree in Interpretation and Musical Creation at Académie supérieure de musique de Strasbourg and Université de Strasbourg in 2015, Yui pursued the Artist Diploma program at the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse in Lyon. Her first musical theater performance created as part of her studies embodies intimacy and sensitivity, and it was selected for the Festival Detours de Babel — Les Chantiers (Grenoble) in 2022.
Her passion for new sound art leads her to engage in a wide range of performing arts, particularly in experimental creations that incorporate improvisation, body expression, dramaturgy, and electronics. As a member of the LiSiLog Collective founded by Jean Geoffroy and Christophe Lebreton, Yui explores the synergies of saxophone and body in sound space through new technologies. Their latest transdisciplinary performance for three performers and an interactive setup was premiered at the Festival Les Instants Fertiles (Saint-Nazaire) in 2023.
Driven by the pursuit of sound and creation, she is a member of the Ensemble Orbis (Lyon) and False Relationships and the Extended Endings Ensemble (Strasbourg - Basel - Fribourg). From 2019 to 2023, she performed with the contemporary circus company Cie Max&Maurice. In 2019, Yui received a performance award from the Karlheinz Stockhausen Foundation. She is the recipient of a scholarship from the Société Générale Foundation C'est vous l'avenir 2021/2022 and the ADAMI Foundation.

Sa passion pour les nouveaux arts sonores l'amène à s'impliquer dans un large éventail de performing-arts, notamment dans des créations expérimentales intégrant l'improvisation, l'expression corporelle, la dramaturgie, et l’électronique.
Membre du Collectif LiSiLog fondé par Jean Geoffroy et Christophe Lebreton, Yui expérimente les synergies du saxophone et du corps dans l’espace sonore à travers les nouvelles technologies. Leur dernier spectacle transdisciplinaire pour trois performeurs et dispositif interactif a été créé au Festival Les Instants Fertiles (Saint-Nazaire) en 2023.
Enthousiasmée par la recherche du son et la création, elle est membre de l’Ensemble Orbis (Lyon) et False Relationships and the Extended Endings Ensemble (Strasbourg - Bâle - Fribourg). De 2019 à 2023, elle s’est produite avec la compagnie de cirque contemporain Cie Max&Maurice.
En 2019, Yui a reçu un prix de performance de la Fondation Karlheinz Stockhausen. Elle est lauréate d'une bourse de la Fondation Société Générale C'est vous l'avenir 2021/2022 et de la Fondation ADAMI.
阪越由衣
大阪府出身のサクソフォニスト、パフォーマー。
2012年よりフランス在住。現在はリヨンと大阪の二つの街を拠点に活動。
大阪音楽大学サクソフォン科を首席で卒業。オルネースボア音楽院、ストラスブール高等音楽学校を経て、2022年リヨン国立音楽院第三課程 Artist Diploma 現代音楽創作科を初の日本人として修了。
新しいサウンドアートへの情熱を原動力に、ダンス、演劇、抽象美術、サーカスなど、様々な分野のアートと現代音楽を融合させたトランス・ディシプリナリー・パフォーマンスを展開。その表現の幅は多岐に渡り、即興演奏やムーヴメント・パフォーマンスを取り入れ、最新の電子音響や電子センサーを用いた実験的作品を作曲家やエンジニアと共同制作に取り組むなどして、幅広くパフォーミング・アーツの場で活躍している。
2022年、Festival Détours de Babel « Les Chantiers » に選出され、現代社会におけるアイディンティーの有り方を問う自身初の創作音楽舞台作品 « Au milieu de » (英訳：The In-Between) を同音楽祭にて初演。斬新的なシナリオ、サクフォンに宿すエネルギー、繊細なジェスチャーパフォーマンスが好評を博した 。
これまでに Festival Musica（ストラスブール）、Festival POTE（ブザンソン）、ワールド・サクソフォーン・コングレス（ストラスブール、ザグレブ）、日本現代音楽協会主催 « 現代の音楽展 ショートコンサートピース展 »（東京）、K. シュトックハウゼン・メモリアルコンサート（キュルテン）などに出演。2020年、Ensemble Intercolor による過去と現在の女性作曲家に焦点を当てたプログラム « Illuminées » のリサイタル全編がフランス国営ラジオ・France Musique にて放送された。KOBE Re: Public Art Project 2022 レジデント・アーティスト。
2019年カールハインツ・シュトックハウゼン財団より演奏賞を受賞。Société Générale財団、並びにADAMI財団奨学生。仏・リヨンに拠点を置く実験的創作音楽アンサンブルグループ Ensemble ORBIS サクソフォニスト。 Collectif LiSiLog 登録アーティスト。日仏現代音楽協会会員。
2019年よりコンテンポラリー・サーカスカンパニー Max&Maurice による創作舞台 « De A à Zèbre » に出演中。
